How Microsites Work

Setting up a microsite is fairly straightforward, and your microsite coach can help you throughout the process.

Register for a microsite: Work with your transplant team to register for your starter microsite, which will include your name, basic information about your need for a living liver donor, and a unique URL. You’ll need to sign a HIPAA release before your site can be activated.

Receive your business cards and posters: After your starter site is activated, you will receive 250 free business cards to hand out to family, friends, and acquaintances, and 10 posters to display in your community.

Share your microsite: Send the link to family, friends, coworkers, and others in your community. Encourage them to share it with their networks, too. People who are considering donation can use the information provided on your microsite to learn how to contact the transplant center and begin the donor evaluation process.

Personalize your microsite: Turn your starter site into a custom site by adding photos and personal details that help people get to know you, understand your journey, and learn why you’re seeking a living donor. Once your custom site is reviewed and approved, you can request 25 free custom posters featuring your photo to help spread the word.

Continue to share and update your site: Keep sharing your microsite and updating your story as your search progresses. Each person who shares your story can help expand your reach and potentially connect you with a living donor.

Check your dashboard: Each week, you’ll receive an email that tells you how your microsite is performing, including how many visits it has received and whether anyone has started the evaluation process.
